It handles document images, OCR results, search indexes, settings, and some metadata generated through user operations. In the current implementation, these primary data types are managed mainly through local files on the user's device and an on-device SQLite database.
Under the current implementation and published policy for normal use, document images, full OCR text, and searchable document data are not automatically sent to our servers. Our public policy also states that we do not collect user data as part of ordinary operation.
No. OCR uses native iOS OCR capabilities and is processed within the app. We do not use a general external OCR API over standard HTTP communication.
Some data used for identification purposes is handled using HMAC-derived values. At the same time, full OCR text is stored in the on-device database to support search and related functions. The service is designed to keep necessary data on the device and avoid unnecessary external transmission.
Yes. Apple and RevenueCat are used for purchase status and license validation. This is limited to what is necessary for billing and entitlement checks and does not mean that document images or OCR data are sent to external services.
Document metadata and OCR results are managed in on-device SQLite, while images and PDFs are stored in on-device file storage. Data is written to a Files destination or similar location only when the user explicitly exports it.
Documents are exported externally only when the user explicitly chooses to do so. On iOS, this uses the share UI or a Files save flow. On Android, the intended approach is the Storage Access Framework so the user can choose the destination.
Yes. The app includes an app-lock feature protected by biometric authentication or device authentication. It also uses a screen mask to make app content harder to view in the app switcher when the app moves to the background.
No. Saving to Photos is off by default. In normal use, documents are not automatically saved to the Photos app.
Not as part of normal use. Error logs or incident details are not sent externally on an always-on basis. In some cases, users may choose to share information for support or incident investigation, and such information is handled only within the necessary scope.
Yes. The app provides flows for trash, restore, and permanent deletion. After saving to Files, users can also choose whether documents remain in the in-app vault or are removed.
Management of the usage environment, backups, and control over storage destinations is the user's responsibility. We provide the app's functionality and design it to be handled safely, but OS settings, MDM, external storage destinations, and device operation rules remain under the user's control.
